Missionaries At Work
Who We Are
Here at M.A.W. ( Missionaries At Work), we are driven by a single goal; to do our part in making the world a better place for all by and through the expression of God's love. We work to help community ministries here at home and across the world by providing: food, clothing, supportive ministry building, basic necessities, spiritual empowerment and assistance to whomever needs it. All of this in the name of our Lord Jesus.
Our Mission
To extend God's love by reaching out, both spiritually and physically, bringing hope to the hurting and the needy at home and anywhere where God calls.

Our Vision:
● To make a difference in people's lives
● To reach the unreachable
● To work in impoverished areas while helping to build the kingdom of God
● To be financially supported by God's people who have the same purpose and values as M.A.W.
Foundation Scripture:
Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said
“ Here am I, Send me!”
Current M.A.W. Initiatives and Projects:
In the recent months M.A.W. Has partnered with local churches, social service organizations, other ministries and individuals to continue bringing hope, faith and God's word to the Houston, Texas region and to other countries. M.A.W. Helps to provide assistance to the most needy in many ways including: food, clothing, homeless outreach, bringing supplies to people who are shut or cannot get to our center, spiritual guidance, referrals and re-entry to individuals released from incarceration. M.A.W. Humbly serves individuals and families who wish to enhance and empower their lives. Currently M.A.W. Helps to serve hundreds of people a month who would otherwise go without basic necessities and assistance.
Food Pantry
This united mission with East End Social Services Inc. provides food and basic necessities to over 10,000 individuals annually who otherwise would not have proper nutrition or basic needs. East End Social Services has provided food and basic needs to multitudes of people in the Houston area since 1982. M.A.W partnered with East End in January 2019 to expand services within the Houston region.
Homeless Outreach
With M.A.W.'s mission always in mind, we strive to find new strategies for dealing with this challenge. Homeless Outreach is something that we take very seriously, and our team is working each and every day to make a positive impact. Our initiative takes us to wherever we are called. Homelessness is a pervasive problem with no fast fixes but M.A.W. strives to impact this issue one person at a time.
Clothing Distribution
At M.A.W. we are dedicated to stepping up our efforts in addressing this issue. Clothing Donation Drop-Off is available so we may offer needed items to the community in consideration to a person's unique needs. Through cooperation and community empowerment we believe we can facilitate progress in this area. We are always striving to make a difference, and invite you to learn more and lend your support.
Children of Hope- Pakistan
With this initiative M.A.W. partners with our sister ministry in Pakistan to provide food, water, school supplies and financial support to children who otherwise would not be able to obtain basic survival needs and education. Pastor Robin Patres facilitates our support to the people who are in need in this part of the world. With the right resources, people can become empowered by their own abilities and gain the confidence to fulfill their potential. Learn more about our work by getting in touch with our team today.
Inter-Ministry Support
With our organization’s mission always in mind, going where God calls takes us to places around the world to offer support to impoverished areas and bring the word of our Lord. We support those living in poverty stricken areas by offering guidance, hope and materials to build new churches. We continually strive to find new strategies for dealing with this challenge. Spreading God's love is something that we take very seriously, and our team is working each and every day to make a positive impact. Contact us to learn more about our commitment to this cause.
Non-Profit Coalition
M.A.W. endeavors to combine efforts with other non-profit service organizations to strengthen community services into a seamless continuum as much as possible. M.A.W. has recently combined with Special Recreation Services Inc., and East End Social Services to begin a new food pantry and clothing distribution center on Houston's East End. This coalition will not only offer food and clothing, but will also support those with developmental disabilities. Teams of those with developmental disabilities will work along side staff to provide and deliver food and basic needs to people in the community who are "shut ins", seniors and disabled. This unique service is a two prong approach to deliver needed items to the community while training disabled individuals on job specific functions with the ultimate goal of inclusion in the mainstream workforce.
M.A.W. History
Missionaries at Work (M.A.W.) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit started by Christobal Lopez, who is an ordained minister having many years experience working with people across the world. In February 2014, Christobal had the opportunity to work on a mission trip to Merida, Mexico ( Yucatan Peninsula). There he was introduced to local pastors who had a passion for reaching out and winning souls for God's Kingdom. Christobal saw the struggle of the pastors who desperately try to work with minimum resources. These pastors meet in open fields, under trees for shade and the people would sit on stones or the ground to hear the word of God. Christobal's heart was touched while seeing this outpouring of God's love. On his return to the United States, God laid a vision upon Christobal's heart to partner with local churches ( of all denominations) in order to raise the funds to help meet the needs of the pastor and their flocks all over the world.
